GUTHRIE, Okla. — A Guthrie-area bull rider with a lengthy competitive rodeo career was booked into the Logan County Jail early Sunday following an early-morning domestic disturbance in west Guthrie.
Kallyn Makaul Longnecker, 35, was booked on allegations of kidnapping, violation of a protective order, interference with an emergency call, and domestic assault and battery by strangulation, according to booking information published Sunday.
Guthrie police, aided by Logan County deputies, responded to a home in the 1900 block of West Noble, with the first police response arriving at 4:15 a.m., four minutes after a female caller, in a whispered voice, called for help. The response was complicated when the caller appeared to have transposed some of the numbers in the address. With the aid of 911 mapping and the knowledge of an officer who was aware that the purported victim had recently received a victim protective order, the correct address was found.
The Sunday morning incident came just over a week after the emergency protective-order action against Longnecker was affirmed by District Judge Jason Reese. The female applicant and Longnecker were set to return to Judge Diane Vaughn's courtroom on that case on Sept. 24.
That same female applicant was recently awarded full custody as part of a divorce case summary order issued by a Cleveland County court in August.
In April 2025, a Pottawatomie County court deferred a felony charge against Longnecker after Longnecker agreed to pay $8,854.17 to the district attorney's bogus check division.
Longnecker is well known in local rodeo circles and has competed as a bull rider for more than a decade.
Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College lists Longnecker, of Guthrie, as a freshman member of its rodeo team during the 2012-13 season.
In 2022, Longnecker finished third in the American Cowboys Rodeo Association's year-end bull-riding standings, earning $6,068.10 during that season.
International Professional Rodeo Association records show Longnecker winning a March 2024 bull-riding competition with an 85.5-point ride, earning $1,406.40. He later finished among the listed riders in the IPRA's 2024 Southern Regional standings.
Professional Bull Riders also maintains a profile for Longnecker, where he continues to appear in PBR's 2026 rider standings.
