Deer Creek fire crews responded at 1:40 a.m. Saturday to a reported patient with severe back pain, lightheadedness and difficulty breathing. Miller EMS arrived and transported the patient to Mercy, according to radio traffic, and fire units returned to service.
A caller in the 14600 block of East Prairie Grove, near Meridian, reported at 12:56 a.m. Saturday that a side-by-side was moving slowly and spotlighting near the house, followed by gunshots. A later report placed the vehicle about a quarter-mile east, with someone walking in a field with a flashlight. Deputies checked the area, and an officer reported watching a light move through a field, but the person was not located.
A Langston University police officer checked a door that appeared open at Stanford Hall at 12:35 a.m. Saturday and later reported the building clear and the door secured. In a separate check at the SSC, the officer contacted people near a door held open and reported that carpet contractors were still working inside.
Guthrie and Mulhall fire crews and Guthrie EMS responded at 12:25 a.m. Saturday to a two-vehicle crash on northbound I-35 at mile marker 169 and found both vehicles off the roadway. Responders described one patient with leg pain and another with jaw pain; Guthrie medics reported separate non-emergency transports to OU downtown and Stillwater Medical Center. Two wreckers were requested.
Meridian and Guthrie fire crews and Logan County deputies responded at 12:03 a.m. Saturday to a rollover east of Highway 105 and Triple X. Responders found a vehicle on its side off the roadway with an occupant inside; the occupant was later reported out and uninjured, and a requested helicopter was canceled. Medics reported a refusal, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and a wrecker responded.
