An officer reported two loose dogs near 14th and Cleveland at 9:39 a.m. Friday. One dog got into the patrol car and was taken to the shelter, and the other ran west on Cleveland. Dispatchers later said a possible owner had called, and the officer described the sheltered dog as a black-and-tan beagle mix.
Deputies were sent to a reported neighbor dispute in the 2500 block of Twelve Oaks at 9:12 a.m. Friday. Dispatchers said the caller had brought out a trash can and neighbors began yelling at him. Both responding units later cleared the call.
Deer Creek crews investigated a fire alarm at a multistory high school complex at 8:24 a.m. Friday after a staff member reported an odd odor at the east end of the building. Crews later reported that workers on the HVAC system had accidentally set off the alarm, and all units returned to service.
Deer Creek fire personnel asked for a public-assist call for cattle on the road at 178th and MacArthur at 8:02 a.m. Friday. When the crew arrived, it reported that a rancher had returned the cattle to the fence, and the unit returned to service.
