Logan County, Oklahoma has become the site of multiple large renewable-energy infrastructure projects, most prominently Invenergy's "Wagon Wheel" wind turbine farm in the county's northern district, alongside related transmission-line proposals including the Delta Plains and Cimarron Link corridors.

Local response

The Logan County Board of Commissioners has repeatedly voted, usually unanimously, to advance these projects through road use agreements and crossing permits, even as individual commissioners have voiced personal reservations about wind energy subsidies. The scale of the development has also generated organized citizen opposition, including a 2024 community meeting in Crescent where property owners described regretting agreements to host turbines, and the formation of the group No Federal Transmission Lines Logan County to oppose the transmission corridors.
