Cimarron Link is a proposed high-voltage transmission line project by Invenergy intended to carry wind-generated power from the Oklahoma Panhandle to eastern Oklahoma, cutting across parts of Logan County separately from the company's "Wagon Wheel" wind turbine farm.

Status and opposition

As of January 2025, the project had already secured roughly 30 parcels of land for the line, according to District 3 Commissioner Monty Piercy, but Logan County commissioners had not yet approved the road-crossing permits the project would need to proceed locally, giving the county potential leverage to slow it while the incoming Trump administration reviewed federal funding tied to the project. State Representative Molly Jenkins proposed a resolution opposing Cimarron Link and introduced legislation aimed at restricting the use of eminent domain by developers building transmission lines for subsidized power projects. The citizen group No Federal Transmission Lines Logan County has also organized against the project.
