Good morning, First Capital, and happy Friday. This morning we report on Guthrie keeping watch on the Cottonwood, after more than seven inches of rain this week sent the creek to twenty-six feet at the Seward Road gauge late Thursday, about four feet below flood stage; by morning it had begun to fall. A flood advisory runs until 1 a.m. Saturday. Deputies were called to a collision with minor injuries reported at Highway 74 and the Cashion exit, and officers were sent to shut down a crowded party at the TLC in Langston. From the wire, KOSU reports new Oklahoma medical marijuana packaging rules take effect Nov. 1. Expect a sunny, windy day.
