Where this comes from

The flights are our own log, built from the positions aircraft broadcast and volunteers collect through adsb.lol. The aircraft and its owner come from the Federal Aviation Administration’s registry, a public record the FAA publishes and refreshes nightly; we reload it weekly. The registry’s street addresses are not copied into this site.

An owner is whoever holds the registration, which for many aircraft is a company or a trust rather than the person flying that day. A registered owner is not evidence of who was aboard.
